Edutainment Time in the University of Pittsburgh at 9:00 AM

First up is a visit to the University of Pittsburgh which is a 132-acre campus campus, garbed by multiple historic buildings and Cathedral of Learning. Stroll around the huge campus and explore the university life and stop by the Cathedral of Learning - a 535 feet tall Gothic revival cathedral. The Cathedral's 26 Nationality Rooms attract visitors with its awesome exhibits of artifacts and furnishings depicting the tradition and culture of several ethnicity. Interactive Exhibitions in Carnegie Science Center at 10:30 AM

Head to the North Shore area of downtown Pittsburgh to reach Carnegie Science Center. Here, you'll come across various exhibits covering varied topics. Take your time to explore the planetarium, a venue dedicated to sports, a naval submarine, get acquainted with robots, exploration station with exhibitions of weather and electricity and much more. When you're done exploring science, take your time to marvel modern art at Carnegie Museum of Art, which was started by Andrew Carnegie. Be an critic and scrutinize the video and photography displays, architectural models and sculpture collections. The head turner is the magnificent marble hall of sculpture that was constructed based on the Parthenon. After art scene, head to Carnegie Museum of Natural History, which showcases exhibits of earth science, wildlife and anthropology. Its lunch time and you'll come across many great eateries as you come out of Carnegie Museum of Art. Spend Some Time Shopping at 2:30 PM

Pittsburgh offers a wide range of shopping options for you. From Ellsworth Avenue to South Side - explore and shop. The assortment of shops, art galleries and eateries in Ellsworth Avenue (Ellsworth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232) will keep you well amused and occupied. Just next to Carnegie Mellon University's campus is the Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens that is one of the most happening hang out areas in the town for university undergrads. This stunning facility also serves as a much sought for wedding venue. What to expect here? Check out the collection of green rooms, housing specific plant type, tropical forests and butterfly gardens, Joshua tree and orchid plant, bonsai and various flower collections. There is a play area for children to let loose and you will be occupied with many interesting activities it offers.

Happy Hour Paddle at 5:30 PM

You got to take your adventure to outdoor activities. Gear up for urban boating or happy hour kayaking down the Allegheny River. Hop on the century old cable car ride the Duquesne Incline up to Mount Washington to see the most breathtaking view of the city. Ever imagined living in a house hemmed over an actual waterfall. Like a fairy tale home, in a far away fantasy land, there is this multi-level structure of concrete, stone and glass. There are different tour types available to let you explore this wonderful home. If you don't have much time in hand, opt for a regular 45 minutes tour, or else you can participate in a two hour in-depth tour. Tours for children are also available with certain age limitations. Kids younger than 6 years are not allowed and are taken care by the Child Care Center. It is recommended to make all tour bookings in advance. Zoo Time-Fun Time - Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium at 4:30 PM

Spend some fun time with your family in Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium. If you have children, this is a must go. With over 400 different animal species found here, visitors are really impressed by the huge number and variety of animals housed by the zoo. You can take your younger kids to Kids Kingdom and let them get up close and pet the animals. Stroll around and visit the different habitats of the animals. African Savanna for lions, elephants and giraffes; Asian Forest for red pandas, tigers and snow leopards; PPG Aquarium to see sharks, penguins and colorful fish and Water's Edge is where you'll find sea otters and polar bears.

Wave Pools or Waterslides - Sandcastle Waterpark at at 6:30 PM

Bbeat the heat and the stress with a dip in one of the several pools in Sancastle Waterpark. You can just laze in the hot tubs or sway with the waves in the wave pools or ride the water slides. After enough splashing in the water pools, hit the Formula One Raceway prepare for some rubber-burning action. After go carting, head to boardwalk to grab a bite from various food stalls set up as beach style booths.
